FULL DESCRIPTION

Founded in 2020, the Gogugu washing station is located in the Guji Zone, in the Haro Wolabu woreda, a region recognized as one of the highest coffee-growing areas in Ethiopia, exceeding 2000 meters above sea level.

The cherries are delivered by 510 surrounding farms with plots ranging from 0.5 to 2 hectares, featuring about 1800-2400 coffee plants per hectare. These farms benefit from the fertile red soil, abundant sunlight, and refreshing cool winds: an ideal environment for exceptional coffee.

The coffee undergoes a wet fermentation process of 60-72 hours before being dried for 10 days. Grown at about 2000 meters above sea level, this is considered one of the highest cultivation areas in Ethiopia.

The young age of these farms adds to their uniqueness, with most coffee plants being only five to ten years old, earning them the title of "youngest coffee trees in Ethiopia."

The producers are small farmers who supply the Gogugu washing station. The coffee comes from the Guji Zone in Ethiopia, grown at altitudes between 1900 and 2000 meters above sea level. It is a coffee processed using the washed method, with Wolisho and Dega varieties.
