How to Make Coffee with the AeroPress: Classic Method and Inverted Method
The AeroPress allows you to make excellent coffee while traveling, at the office, or at home without complex electric machines. By combining full immersion and manual piston pressure, it lets you adjust parameters to achieve both a clean filter coffee and a dense espresso-style concentrate.
The inverted method is preferred at Garage Coffee Bros. because it prevents the liquid from dripping before the intended brewing time. The AeroPress is assembled upside down by inserting the plunger up to the number 4 line, then 16 grams of medium ground coffee are added along with 220 grams of water at 92°C. Stir gently, let it brew for 2 minutes, screw on the pre-rinsed paper filter holder, and with a quick motion, flip the device onto the mug, applying steady pressure for about 30 seconds. Experiment with the single origins in the catalog to find the extraction that suits your palate.
